Salary: £28,000 - £35,000
Would you like to progress your career in a Paraplanning position that will offer you the chance to work with a lovely team & play a key role within a chartered financial planning practice, based on the outskirts of Bath?
We’ve partnered with a successful chartered financial planning firm, based in a lovely setting with free parking, to help them find a new Paraplanner.
As well as providing private client financial planning, they also have specialist knowledge and vast experience in dealing with the financial challenges that someone may face as result of a personal injury, as well as later-life financial care, where their clients seek bespoke advice on the best financial strategy to help them enjoy their retirement years.
We’re looking for a Paraplanner to work cohesively with their Financial Planners; you’ll work closely with them to assist in identifying areas that provide solutions to the clients’ financial planning needs.
Whilst you will carry out typical paraplanning duties such as conducting appropriate technical research, producing suitability reports & letters, you’ll also get the chance to attend ‘family office’ style client meetings alongside the Financial Planner, as required. You will liaise with the clients’ legal and tax advisers as well as investment managers and providers and become a key and trusted point of contact for clients and other relevant third parties.
Other areas of responsibility will include attending and contributing to the company’s Investment Committee, meeting with Life Company and Investment Management Company representatives, and initiating client review meetings.
Ideally, you’ll be a Level 4 qualified Paraplanner, with good technical ability and people skills; full training will be provided if you haven’t gained too much experience in the type of work they do.
We would also welcome applications from those with technical financial services experience say in a platform or provider environment who would like to make the transition into paraplanning.
Salary range: £28,000 - £35,000 (dependent on level of experience and qualifications) plus benefits including Pension, Life Cover and PHI
A degree of flexibility with regard to working hours
